Biography

Leah currently serves as the Section Chief of the Climate Resilience Program for the Maryland Department of Natural Resources. In this role, she directs programs that provide critical technical and financial assistance to state and local partners, building their capacity to achieve long-term resilience goals. She oversees the distribution of federal and state funding to advance adaptation solutions, specifically managing the Grants Gateway Community Flood Planning grant program. Additionally, the program delivers science-based flood data and technical resources necessary to enhance community preparedness for flooding, sea-level rise, and other accelerating climate impacts.
