Biography
Lisa Mantel is a public safety and emergency management professional with experience spanning 9-1-1 operations, policy, and community preparedness. She has been passionate about emergency readiness since her undergraduate years and has focused on helping communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from hazards.
At CHHS, Lisa supports law, policy, and resilience initiatives with direct impact for Maryland communities. She joined the center during a critical phase of the COVID-19 response and helped coordinate the distribution of rapid test kits and KN-95 masks to residents, childcare centers, and nonprofit organizations.
Her work blends project and grant management with emergency planning, stakeholder coordination, and practical implementation that strengthens statewide resilience efforts.
